Freight Coordinator - Drivers Encouraged

Overview Pace Air Freight is a family owned and operated company with a focus on customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in liaising with shippers, forwarders, and airlines to ensure smooth and timely movement of cargo. Must be able to communicate in a pleasant, attentive, outgoing and professional manner with a focus on speed and accuracy. Schedule: Monday-Friday Day Shift * candidates must be flexible, this position requires occasional night shift coverage in the event of operations team members who are out of the office due to vacation or sick time Full Time Responsibilities · Assist to oversee domestic pickup, linehaul and final delivery for domestic shipments · Must be able to communicate with customers and operations team members · Resolve transportation problems with customers with professionalism and a sense of urgency · Track and monitor the progress of shipments to their final destinations · Communicate with drivers and customers for shipments updates in a timely manner · Process shipment data, update company systems and handle critical shipment documents · Assist compliance to investigate, resolve and communicate with customers for OS&D, claims, layovers etc. · Dispatching of drivers to ensure proper movement of shipments Requirements · 5+ years’ experience driving as a company driver, owner operator or 2+ years logistics operations experience equivalent to the responsibilities of this role · Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word · Ability to work effectively managing multiple shipments and a fast paced environment Job Type: Full-time Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Referral program Vision insurance Application Question(s): Must be willing to "occasionally" assist with shift coverage for employees that are out of the office for vacation or sick leave Experience: transportation industry and/or Class A driving: 2 years (Required) Ability to Relocate: Plainfield, IN 46168: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
