The Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and troubleshooting complex electrical systems with a focus on laser transmitters, high-power electronics, and testing equipment. The role involves circuit design, power supply development, electro-optical integration, and system-level troubleshooting. The engineer will utilize National Instruments LabVIEW for programming and testing while supporting high-voltage equipment and ensuring compliance with applicable technical and military standards.\n\nResponsibilities:\nUtilize National Instruments LabVIEW software for programming, testing, and system validation.^Design and develop diode laser driver circuits capable of handling high current loads.^Develop electrical schematics and system diagrams for laser transmitters and testing equipment.^Perform analog and digital circuit design focused on laser circuitry and system operation.^Conduct electro-optical integration and design power supply systems with EMI prevention considerations.^Troubleshoot electrical issues and identify failure modes in high-voltage industrial equipment.^Support high-voltage electronics, glass shop, and melt equipment across facility operations.^Perform technician-level tasks and support hands-on engineering assignments as required.^Operate laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, and pulse generators.^Test and debug analog and digital circuit boards and high-power electronic systems.^Translate system requirements into detailed system test plans and execute testing accordingly.^Develop and deliver technical design review presentations for engineering, manufacturing teams, and senior leadership.^Ensure compliance with military specifications and technical standards.^Select electronic components to optimize system performance, reliability, power consumption, and size.
