This position will primarily serve in the Preschool area, ages Three to Five years/Kindergarten.This position reports to the Preschool Manager.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSMinister to children in a classroom, including teaching, guiding, and comforting themCare for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of childrenEngage all children in the assigned area at their developmental stageTeach the assigned curriculum with enthusiasmEnsure that quality ministry is taking place in the assigned classroom or rolePrimary age focus is Preschool, three years to five years/Kindergarten, however, maintain flexibility to work with children of all ages, different personalities, and in different roles, based on the needAdhere to all established Child Safety & Emergency protocols as defined by law and Lakewood Church policiesActively pursue chances to assist with transitions, challenging behaviors, and extra duties with a positive team attitudeModel a Christ-like attitude at all timesEnsure that parents and children, and other Kids Life staff and volunteers have a positive experience with Kids LifeInspire volunteer commitment in othersArrive at the assigned areas on time, prepared, and ready to workMaintain professionalism and a Christ-like attitude in dealings with parents and other Kids Life personnel regarding sensitive and confidential informationComplete all paperwork and classroom clean-up as assignedAttend all Kids Life team meetings, staff meetings, and area trainingsMaintain a high level of dependability and reliability to working the assigned work schedulesCommunicate schedule changes in a timely manner, and with all involved staff, Preschool Manager, Coordinator, and Team LeadMaintain availability to serve during regular ministry days, including Sundays and Wednesdays, and for special events as needed.Perform other related duties as assignedMINISTERIAL DUTIESAs an Employee of Lakewood Church, you are part of an over 60-year legacy of faith. Regular workdays include Sundays and Wednesdays.
