IT Systems Administrator
Synchron, LLC has an exciting opportunity for an IT Systems Administrator to provide support to a US Navy program in Jacksonville, Florida. You will provide IT Systems Administration in an international student training facility. Maintain and operate a local computer network. Identify and recommend how to make the infrastructure better using the latest technology and the best implementation strategies, support radio frequency (RF), cyber training, and maintain updates and patches critical to network operability. Must be comfortable working in a training environment with international students.
Basic Qualifications:
5 years’ experience performing vulnerability/risk assessment analysis to support certification and accreditation
5 years’ experience performing configuration management (CM) for information system security software, hardware, and firmware
3 years’ experience preparing and reviewing documentation to include Systems Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages, and System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs);
2 years’ experience supporting security authorization activities in compliance with NSA/CSS Information System Certification and Accreditation Process (NISCAP) and Risk Management Framework (RMF).
5 years’ experience as an Information System Technician performing core and specialty functions of communications operations, message processing, and network administration and security
2 years’ experience instruction unit-level information systems security and integration across platforms, fleets, and services; and ensure the proper security, distribution, handling, accounting, reporting, and control of Communications Security (COMSEC) materials, systems, and equipment
3 years’ experience providing telecommunications and computer related training and assistance to a wide variety of personnel
3+ years of experience with help desk support or systems administration
Experience with updating and patching Windows and Cisco operating systems
CompTIA Security +, Network+
Experience with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
Support virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
US Citizenship
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively individually and in a team environment
Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
Associate’s degree in IT or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years’ experience working with international military students
Experience working with Dell computers and Servers
Experience with supporting Windows Server 2016
Experience with supporting SQL Server 2012-2016
Experience with configuring and updating network equipment (printers, copiers, monitors, projectors, Wi-Fi, and hardwired networks)
Experience with Samsung Knox platform
BA or BS degree in CS or Senior IT Prior military experience
Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, VMware Certified Professional, RHCSA.
