This role is critical in supporting recruitment, employee relations, benefits, performance management, compensation, training and compliance, aligning HR strategy with organizational goals and ensuring legal adherence with policies.Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000Key ResponsibilitiesEmployee Relations and Culture:Serve as a point person for employee concerns, fostering open communication and conflict resolution.Develop and implement strategies to build a positive, inclusive, and high-performing company culture.High proven proficiency in handling complex employee relations issues and investigations with ability to make recommendations on resolutionsExcellent documentation of investigations and completed timelyProficiency in understanding federal and state laws and regulationsAbility to mentor and coach managers to have difficult conversations and documenting performance issuesClear understanding and proficiency in unemployment claims and documentationDesign and manage engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and well-being effortsTalent Management & DevelopmentCollaborate with onboarding, training, and performance management systems. Identify training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities.Support career pathing and talent retention strategies.Work with leaders to identify future work force planning within the organizationHR Strategy & OperationsPartner with leadership to align HR initiatives with business goals.Analyze HR metrics to assess program effectiveness and recommend improvementsEnsure compliance with HR laws and regulations.Develop, implement, and update HR policies, ensuring adherence to employment laws and regulations (e.g., EEO, harassment)Assist with tracking and reporting for annual compliance trainingWork collaboratively with Learning and Development to curate people manager training and facilitationRecruitment SupportCollaborate on recruitment, selection, and seamless onboarding processes.Work closely with hiring team to ensure a seamless recruitment experience internally and externallyWork with hiring managers to review job descriptionsCompensation And BenefitsHave a clear understanding of the organization’s benefits packageProficiency in multi-state leave lawsA clear understanding of compensation practices and ability to make recommendationsStrategyWork closely with Functional Leaders to understand challenges and make recommendations on team design and structureHave a clear vision of each section of business that needs to be supported operationallyIdentify areas of succession planning and execute timelines to ensure consistent practices throughout the organizationUnderstanding trends and themes with ER matters to make recommendations for operational excellenceThis job description is inclusive of the roles and responsibilities of an Employee Success Manager, additionally, there may be times when other duties may be assigned by leadership.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related fieldExperience5-7 years of HR experience as an HR Manager, HR Generalist or related rolesSkillsExceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.Strong ability to handle multiple work streams simultaneously with tight deadlinesUnderstanding of Employment LawsStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple prioritiesAbility to build trust and rapport across all organizational levelsData-driven mindset to analyze metrics and drive decisionsProven experience in Leave Laws, Compensation, and BenefitsProven experience in all HR areas of the full life cycleADP, Workday and HR Acuity experience a plusWorking At Year Up UnitedStarting January 5, 2026, employees are expected to work on-site at least two days per week (Monday through Thursday dependent on job requirements).
