Manufacturing Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift ***Hours are 4PM - 2AM Monday - Thursday, with Friday OT Panolam Surface Systems is a leading manufacturer of interior surfaces, including; high-pressure decorative laminates, thermally fused laminates, and a variety of specialty laminates for decorative as well as industrial applications. We are currently seeking a highly motivated 2nd shift Production Supervisor for our Auburn, ME facility. Responsibilities include: Supervises and coordinates activities of assigned employees in their assigned area in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws; Interviews, selects and trains employees; Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules and expedites work flow; Issues written and oral instructions, assigns duties and examines work for exactness and conformance to established procedures and standards; Appraises performance of assigned employees; Acts as a resource coordinator for employees; Provides guidance and coaches employees towards meeting pre-stated goals and objectives; Administers corrective action sessions in an effort to resolve non-conformance’s with established policies, procedures or standards; Addresses complaints and resolves problems.Responsible for improving quality and reducing costs associated within the assigned operations; Leads, supports and participates in safety and total quality activities; Performs or assists subordinates in performing duties. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. PeopleSoft skills needed. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Computer skills needed. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
