In this role, you will assist with a combination of technical and operational tasks, including basic instrument testing, refurbishment support, inventory organization, and general office operations. You will also observe troubleshooting workflows and diagnostic processes to gain insight into how service teams maintain instrument performance and support customers. This internship provides valuable exposure to technical service operations, instrumentation maintenance, and regional service support workflows.Job Functions Include, But Are Not Limited ToSupport routine maintenance and preventative care activities under supervisionAssist with basic testing and refurbishment of instrumentationSupport minor troubleshooting and repair tasks under guidanceObserve diagnostic processes to understand structured service workflowsAssist with cataloging and organizing service parts inventoryMaintain accurate inventory documentation and tracking recordsPrepare outgoing shipments and packagesEducation And QualificationsCurrently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related disciplineInterest in instrumentation, service operations, or hands-on technical workFamiliarity with standard operating procedures and structured processesBasic technical aptitude and problem-solving abilityExperience with chromatography or scientific instrumentation is a plusShimadzu is not accepting unsolicited assistance from search firms for this employment opportunity.
