DescriptionQA LAB TECHNICIANQuality Assurance & Food SafetyJBS- Souderton, PennsylvaniaReports to:Quality Assurance ManagerHours:3:30am-12pm, M-F, occasional SaturdaysDuties & Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited ToPerforming quantitative analytical lab procedures to determine the quality and lab analysis of industrial waste waterProactive attitude toward workplace safety at all timesAbility to perform data entry, experience with Microsoft Office i.e.: Excel, Outlook, WordBasic understanding of safe handling, storage, and respect for chemicalsProper sampling and testing methods for validation as necessaryUnderstanding preservation chain of custodyMaintain a clean work environmentAbility to multitask with attention to detail and organizationTracking and reporting of chemical and supply inventoriesGenerating certificates of analysis as directed by the Quality Assurance ManagerWillingness to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with team membersOccasional overtime and Saturday work as neededPosition RequirementsWork experience: The incumbent ideally should have 1 or more years’ experience working in a laboratory settingQuality work—strong ability to maintain quality work, precision and accuracyAbility to work independently and as part of a team to reach common goals, self-motivated, adaptability and a positive attitudeThe Ideal Candidate Would PossessHands-on experience with analytical techniquesAbility to monitor and comply with SOPs and CGMPsUnderstanding of FSMA and HACCP principlesAbility to learn new techniques and perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions and comply with company policiesExcellent communication (oral and written) with attention to detailFlexible and adaptable, working collaboratively in cross-functional teamsBenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision, 401K Vacation, sick leave, and six company observed holidaysBetter Future Program-2 year MONTCO Community College tuition paid for employee and dependentsBe Extraordinary.
