CDL-A Route Driver NightThe CDL-A Route Driver Night is responsible for safely operating company vehicles to transport clean and soiled laundry between customer locations and the Division Laundry facility. This role involves driving a tractor-trailer or medium-duty truck, handling wheeled laundry carts, and maintaining required DOT and company records.The position works under the general supervision of the Fleet Supervisor and follows established routes, schedules, and safety guidelines.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate a tractor-trailer or medium-duty truck safely and efficientlyTransport clean and soiled linens between customer locations and the laundry facilityLoad, unload, push, and pull wheeled laundry carts as requiredMaintain accurate logs, forms, and records related to vehicle operationFollow DOT regulations, company policies, and safety proceduresCommunicate professionally with customers and internal team membersSafely care for assigned vehicles and company propertyComplete routes within established timeframesWork EnvironmentPrimarily operates in company trucks while completing deliveries and pickups at healthcare and hospitality customer locations.May work in indoor and outdoor environments, including loading docks and customer facilities.Typical schedule is MondayFriday, but additional hours, weekends, and holidays may be required based on business needs.Position is hourly; weekly hours may vary depending on route demands.Minimum QualificationsAt least 21 years of age1+ year of tractor-trailer driving experienceValid CDL-A licenseClean Motor Vehicle Record (past 3 years)No DOT violations or preventable accidentsAbility to pass a DOT background check, physical, and regulated drug screenAbility to read and write in EnglishBasic math and record-keeping skillsBasic computer skills (ELD/HOS systems, if applicable)Physical ability to push and pull wheeled laundry cartsStrong communication and customer service skillsAbility to work nights, weekends, and holidaysPreferred QualificationsPrior experience in the service industryPhysical RequirementsAbility to safely operate a commercial vehicle.Frequent sitting while driving to customer locations.Ability to climb in and out of trucks and loading areas.Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift, including on uneven surfaces.Regular reaching, bending, twisting, grasping, and pulling while loading/unloading carts.Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs and handle items such as linens, cart liners, and dock plates.Frequent pushing and pulling of wheeled laundry carts that may weigh up to 800 lbs.Repetitive hand and arm movements throughout the workday.Heavy physical work requiring consistent use of upper body strength.Ability to pull, drag, or maneuver heavy objects as needed.Adequate vision for driving and work tasks (close, distance, color, depth perception, peripheral vision).Ability to hear clearly for safety and awareness of surroundings.Ability to meet all physical demands for the full duration of the shift.Must use required personal protective equipment (PPE) as designated.EEO StatementEmployees of Division Laundry and Cleaning, Inc. are protected by federal laws, Presidential Executive Orders, and other laws designed to protect employees from discrimination on the basis of race, religion, color, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), sexual orientation, parental status, national origin, age, disability, family medical history or genetic information, political affiliation, military service, or any other non-merit based factor.
