Backup Support Engineer

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Backup Support Engineer to manage, monitor, and support enterprise backup and recovery environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring data protection, backup reliability, and timely recovery of critical systems.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and maintain backup and recovery systems.Perform backup, restore, and disaster recovery activities.Troubleshoot backup failures and resolve related issues.Manage backup schedules and ensure successful job completion.Support storage, server, and infrastructure teams during recovery operations.Maintain backup documentation and operational procedures.Ensure compliance with data retention and security policies.Required SkillsExperience with backup technologies such as Veritas NetBackup, Veeam, Commvault, Rubrik, or similar tools.Knowledge of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery concepts.Familiarity with Windows and Linux environments.Understanding of storage systems and virtualization platforms.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Good communication and documentation abilities.
