Delivers direct and indirect care following physician and nursing orders to achieve the highest standards of age/developmental specific care.Job RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent requiredCompletion of North Carolina Nurse Aide I course requiredAmerican Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)Strong oral and written communication skillsPerforms effectively with frequent workload changes and competing demandsBasic computer skillsKey ResponsibilitiesAssist patients with daily living activities (bathing, feeding, mobility, positioning)Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and patient conditions in EMRPerform purposeful rounding and communicate patient needs to the care teamSupport admissions, transfers, and discharges with patient-focused serviceCollect and handle specimens and point-of-care testing accuratelyMaintain clean, stocked, and safe patient care environmentsAssist with patient transport, nutrition, and skin integrity careFollow infection prevention and safety protocols at all timesProvide age-appropriate, compassionate care across diverse patient populationsThis job description indicates the general nature and level of work expected of the incumbent.
