PAINT LINE PAINTER
JOB PURPOSE:
Prepares paint and products to be painted, sprays surfaces of manufactured products with powder paint, and maintains equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Applies powder to raw parts using manual guns to achieve proper coverage
Sets ovens to temperature specifications
Performs basic maintenance on spray guns
Clean and set up guns and hoppers during color changes
Records all powder usage
Visually inspect parts for obvious defects or missing maskings
Helps in other areas of the paint line as needed

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
Blueprint reading preferred
6 months of prior painting experience required

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to balance and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
