Petroplan is looking for an EHS Director / Head of Safety for a growing industrial construction organization supporting large-scale projects across the U.S.This position is primarily responsible for building and leading the company’s corporate EHS program, driving project and subcontractor safety performance, ensuring OSHA compliance, and implementing best-in-class safety standards across multiple active job sites. The role will partner closely with project leadership teams to support safe execution across complex industrial and construction environments. Responsibilities:Build and lead the company-wide EHS program, standards, policies, and governance structureDrive project and subcontractor safety performance across multiple active job sitesOversee audits, inspections, incident investigations, CAPA management, and regulatory complianceImplement site-specific safety plans, JHAs/AHAs, permit-to-work systems, and risk mitigation strategiesLead training initiatives, toolbox talks, competency tracking, and field leadership coachingServe as the primary EHS interface for clients, insurers, and regulatory agenciesDevelop KPI dashboards, leading indicators, and continuous improvement initiatives across projectsRequirements:8–15+ years of EHS leadership experience within construction, EPC, MEP, industrial, or related environmentsProven experience building and scaling EHS programs across multi-project operationsStrong knowledge of OSHA construction standards, investigations, audits, and compliance managementExperience managing subcontractor safety programs and high-risk construction activitiesExperience supporting large industrial, manufacturing, cleanroom, mission critical/data center, or energy projectsAbility to travel to project sites as needed Preferred Qualifications:OSHA 30 and/or OSHA 500/510CHST, CSP, or working toward certification
