Position Description
Overall Responsibilities:
General supervisory skills including employee training, appraisals, and terminations. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and document actions taken. Must have mechanical aptitude and the ability to identify, analyze and improve processes and be accountable for accurate and timely completion of production orders. Previous production experience with proven performance record is essential.
Essential Job Functions:
This individual will be a member of Production Management team
Promote a safe work environment
Monitor employee practices and equipment for safety concerns
Supervise and coordinate activities of production team
Monitor daily and weekly production schedules and goals
Organize and assign work duties of employees
Evaluate employee performance
Maintain accurate employee records
Inspect quality of product at each workstation
Practice good housekeeping in all areas
Assure machines and equipment are always functioning properly
Promote 5S and Lean to fullest extent
Other duties may be assigned
Position Requirements
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Previous Lead and or Management experience preferred in a manufacturing setting
Knowledgeable with Lean and MDI methodology
Ability to interpret and present MDI and department metrics and goals
Must be comfortable working with teams on projects as well as presentations to groups
Must have good communication skills when working with all levels of management and groups within the company
Good attendance is a must along with a Servant leadership mind set

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand for an extended amount of time, walk and reach with hands and arms. Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to work in an environment that is not climate-controlled and can include elevated hot and cold temperatures.
