Cloud Architect

Seeking a hands‑on Senior Cloud Architect to design and support secure, highly available AWS and Azure hybrid cloud environments within a large enterprise/public sector setting. This role focuses on cloud networking, security architecture, hybrid connectivity, Megaport integrations, and endpoint security, working closely with IT teams on mission‑critical systems.Location: Downey, CAType: Contract (12-24+ Months) Work Schedule: M-F 8-5/ HybridRequired Skills & ExperienceStrong hands‑on experience with AWS and Azure networkingExpertise in hybrid and multi‑cloud connectivity, including Transit Gateway, ExpressRoute, and VPC/VNet peeringExperience with Megaport (Virtual Cross Connects, private cloud connectivity)Deep understanding of cloud network security, firewall deployment, and segmentation strategiesProficiency in routing protocols (BGP) and traffic engineeringExperience deploying and supporting endpoint security platformsFamiliarity with vulnerability management tools such as Nessus, Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7, OpenVAS, or similarStrong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash, etc.)Experience working in large enterprise or public sector environmentsExcellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skillsAbility to work independently in a fast‑paced, consulting‑style roleEducation & CertificationsBachelor’s degree in an IT‑related or Engineering fieldOne or more of the following: CISSP (or equivalent)CompTIA Security+Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)Cloud certifications such as: AWS Certified Advanced Networking – SpecialtyAWS Certified Solutions ArchitectMicrosoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate
