Childcare School Teacher
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing childcare teacher to join our team of educated staff. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a strong commitment to providing a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for our young students. Our ideal candidate is available between the hours of 2pm-6pm Monday-Friday. Most days all children will depart and closing duties will be completed for staff to leave at 5:30pm. Shift may be able to start as early as 12 noon if the right candidate is available.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement engaging and interactive lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of our students, including those with special needs.
- Develop and maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment that promotes social and emotional growth.
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to ensure a smooth and productive learning experience.
- Provide individualized instruction and support to students, including those who require early intervention or additional assistance.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive educational program.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that incorporate physical education and outdoor activities.
- Manage student behavior and develop strategies for addressing challenging behaviors.
- Communicate regularly with parents to keep them informed about their child's progress and to share any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress, including attendance, lesson plans, and assessment results.
Qualifications:
- A teaching credential, degree in Early Childhood Education or relevant experience.
- A strong background in child development and education.
- Experience working in a private school or daycare setting.
- Experience with classroom management and behavior management techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
- First aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.
