Pediatric Direct Support Professional (DSP)Primary role will be to provide specialized, in-home care to 2 pediatric DODD patients. Expected hours: 2540 per weekCompensation: $16 - $18 per hourPosition Summary: We are seeking a highly-skilled, compassionate, and professional Pediatric Direct Support Provider (DSP) to join our home health agency and provide daily care, skill development, health monitoring, and advocacy to and on behalf of DODD clients in Jackson County and surrounding areas.Responsibilities:Personal care, hygiene, mobility, and ADL assistanceCommunity Integration & Skill BuildingImplementation of Individual Service Plan (ISP)Health & Safety MonitoringBehavioral SupportPro-active observation and excellent electronic documentationRights Protection & AdvocacyTotal Care Team CollaborationOngoing Training & Certification RequirementsSchedule Options:Primary: Weekdays - during the day | Weekend shifts may be available case-by-caseFull-Time desired (will consider PT based on availability)Local travel within Jackson County | Expanded cases/hours may include adjacent CountiesRequirements / Non-Negotiables:Job-Related:Active DSP certification from Ohio DODDSuccessful completion of all HCN skills tests and competency evaluations.Willingness and timely compliance to maintain all ongoing Training & Certification RequirementsActive CPR + FA certification and documentation of both (+ proof/documentation of both readily available)Medication Administration Certification is highly preferredMinimum of 1 year paid in-home care or DODD caregiving experienceMinimum of 1 year qualified experience in pediatric in-home care (experience specifically supporting pediatric individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or behavioral needs is highly preferred)Willing and able to regularly perform all physical demands of home care (including lifting/carrying up to 3050 lbs. occasionally).Core Competencies, Traits & Personal Skills:Ability to build trust with individuals with developmental disabilities; Strong communication skills (verbal & written); Patience, empathy, and compassion.Ability to implement behavior support plans; De-escalation and problem-solving skills; Ability to promote independence rather than dependence.Recognize changes in health status; Follow care plans and medical protocols; Understand and apply infection control and safety procedures.Ability to complete daily service documentation, incident reports, and EVV (Electronic Visit Verification) entries.Possess above-basic computer and mobile device proficiency.
