Our programs are designed to inspire a lifelong love of food, promote healthy eating habits, and celebrate the diverse culinary traditions that bring people together.Position Description:The Culinary Enrichment Teacher 1 collaborates with other Teachers to implement and manage culinary-based educational enrichment programs and cooking classes. This role involves supporting instructional activities, preparing materials, and providing individualized attention to students to foster a dynamic and engaging learning environment centered around cooking and culinary arts.Responsibilities:Review lesson plans in advance on a weekly basis.Watch recorded video trainings.Check-in with Enrichments Manager or supervisors as needed for questions and classroom support.Organize lessons by setting out materials, prepping food portions, and following the Lead Teacher's guidance for lesson execution.Participate in teacher training sessions before the start of the semester.Distribute any applicable materials or handouts to students before the class concludes.Provide feedback in the designated channel within 48 hours after each class.Notify Enrichment Manager and/or supervisors of any in-class incidents as soon as possible utilizing incident reports.RequirementsRequirements:Previous experience working with childrenMust pass a background check, including sex offender search, criminal search and national watchlist search.TB Immunization requiredAdditional background checks and immunization requirements may vary depending on the school.This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
