Necessary communication with current and potential clients entails understanding and describing the services of the firm, the attributes of our services, the cost/benefit to the client, and the advantages over competing solutions.Position RequirementsMinimum of bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Science, or Engineering8 -15+ years of relevant experienceExperience in business-to-business sales, Environmental or Engineering preferredStrong interpersonal skills-outgoing, ability to networkSelf-starter, organized, strong work ethicBasic computer skills proficiencyRoad travel and air travel as needed, some overnightsUse of personal vehicle and valid driver's license is required to travel to sales calls and business development functions.Essential DutiesInitiate contact and set up 7-10 business meetings per week to gain opportunities for Roux's Senior-level and Principal-level technical staff to sell the firm's servicesAttend business meetings and manage the process to close sales opportunities in a long sales cycle with both current and prospective clients within Roux Market Sectors (Roux Markets)Attend networking meetings and functions as neededAnalyze customer needs and design and implement sales, customer service, and account management processes to acquire and retain accountsCollaboration with marketing and technical team to develop client alerts, webinars & panel discussionsAbility to cross-sell in business meetings (i.e., identify additional opportunities within Roux's scope of services)Identify and build prospecting lists via B2B intelligence tools to enhance opportunities for technical staffCultivate channel partners for referral opportunitiesRoux is an Equal Opportunity Employer. This salary range is based on what Roux in good faith believes it might pay at the time of posting for this position and for this geographic location. Actual compensation may vary based on job-related factors such as relevant work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications, skill sets, and internal equity.
