Mid-Level Software Engineer – Java, AWS, CI/CD Location: Huntsville, AL (On-site) Clearance Required: Top Secret (TS) About the Role: We’re on the lookout for a Mid-Level Software Engineer ready to roll up their sleeves and build modern, impactful systems. If you’ve got a solid foundation in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs, and you’re hungry to work with AWS, Docker, and data-forward tools like Apache Spark, then this is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for. You’ll work on mission-critical application development projects that support both infrastructure and operational goals—designing scalable systems, integrating third-party components, and delivering clean, reliable code that supports everything from data pipelines to automation tools. What You’ll Be Doing: Design, develop, test, and manage full-stack application projects with an emphasis on scalability and performance. Implement third-party component integration, build new custom capabilities, and modify existing codebases to meet evolving needs. Contribute to automation efforts for O&M processes to improve reliability and reduce manual overhead. Work closely with lead architects to implement solutions involving large-scale data processing, analytics, and statistical modeling. Engage in the full SDLC—from planning and requirements gathering to coding, testing, and deployment. Lead or participate in milestone reviews, architecture sessions, and development best practices knowledge-sharing. Collaborate across Agile teams using CI/CD pipelines to rapidly develop and deploy high-impact features. You’re a Strong Fit If You Have: Core Skills (Must-Have): 6+ years of software engineering experience Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Docker, and AWS Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and API development & testing Exposure to Apache Spark or similar data processing frameworks Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have): Experience with Elasticsearch, Apache TIKA, Apache NiFi, or Scala Familiarity with data enrichment, document processing, or text extraction tools Strong understanding of secure, scalable software architectures in cloud environments Why Join Us?
