Senior Fund Accountant – REIT📍 Chicago, IL | HybridWe’re partnering with a highly active and growing real estate investment and development platform to identify a Senior Fund Accountant to join their team.This is a high-impact role supporting investment funds across the full lifecycle — offering strong exposure to acquisitions, capital markets, and investor reporting in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.The OpportunityThis role sits at the center of fund-level financial operations, supporting monthly close, investor reporting, and fund activity across a dynamic real estate portfolio.You’ll work cross-functionally with teams across investments, development, and asset management while gaining meaningful exposure to capital flows, deal activity, and fund performance.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes (JEs, reconciliations, reporting)Prepare and review fund-level financial statements and investor reporting packagesPerform variance analysis and support performance insightsAssist with capital calls, distributions, and investor allocationsPartner with internal teams on acquisitions, development activity, and cash flow timingCoordinate with auditors, fund administrators, and external stakeholdersMaintain accurate tracking of investor capital accounts and fund activityContribute to process improvements across fund accounting and reporting workflowsWhat We're Looking For2–5+ years of experience in fund accounting, public accounting, or real estate accountingExposure to private equity funds, real estate structures, or investment reportingStrong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting conceptsAdvanced Excel skills and comfort working with large datasetsHighly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple prioritiesStrong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionallyWhy This Role Stands OutDirect exposure to investment activity, capital markets, and deal flowOpportunity to work closely with senior leadership and decision-makersBroad visibility across fund operations, development, and acquisitionsFast-growing platform with strong momentum and long-term upsideCollaborative, high-performing team environment
