BLUE REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT - RSU 9227 MAIN STREET, FARMINGTON, ME 04938Phone (207) 778-6571 | Fax (207) 778-4160COMMUNITY | CULTURE | CURRICULUM"Working together to provide high-quality educational opportunities for all."CHESTERVILLE - FARMINGTON - INDUSTRY - NEW SHARON - NEW VINEYARD - STARKS TEMPLE - VIENNA - WELD - WILTONDigital Literacy & Technology TeacherFranklin County Adult & Community EducationInformation: This position provides digital literacy instruction and basic adult education services throughout Franklin County.Reports To: Director of Adult & Community EducationQualifications:Ability to instruct all levels of students in digital literacy, computer technology.Willingness to work with all students in a respectful and supportive mannerCHRC Approval from Maine Department of EducationExcellent organizational skills and self-directedStrong customer service skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms).Expertise in managing professional email, social media platforms, and remote conferencing tools such as Zoom.Demonstrated mastery of Internet navigation and online safety; certified or highly proficient in Northstar Digital Literacy standards.Valid driver's license and have reliable transportationBachelor's degree and Maine teaching certification a plus, but not requiredUnderstanding or willingness to learn adult education and learning theoriesPerformance Responsibilities:Provide in-person computer literacy instruction to community membersCreate an environment that is conducive to learningMaintain and manage the Learning Center's student devicesRecruit and schedule learners within a short distance of their home/workMarket the program to the community via facebook and websiteGuide the learning process toward the achievement of established learner goalsAssess the accomplishments of studentsAssist in the collection of student and program data including attendance, progress, and testingWork with remote learning site hosts to provide a safe and clean environmentCoordinate with other instructors and staff on student progress and goalsAttends adult education staff meetings, professional development and state training as neededInteracts with the public and represents our school district in a professional mannerKeeps abreast of technical trends, applications and effective practices in technologyDemonstrate integrity, ingenuity and inventiveness in the performance of assigned tasksOffers staff technology support and classroom tech integration as-neededTerms of Employment:Up to 27 hours a weekSchool Year (38 weeks)This position requires extensive travel throughout Franklin County.
