Job DescriptionCrop to Crop resumes are acceptedWe are looking for a versatile and highly skilled Microsoft Power Platform Developer in the Division of Public Health providing primary support for the Health Hazard Control Unit (HHCU) within the Environmental Health section. The primary purpose of the position is to lead the design, development, and governance of low‑code and automation solutions and design, build, and support enterprise‑grade applications and databases. This hybrid role supports business automation initiatives while ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of SQL environments across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and deploy applications using Power Apps (Canvas & Model‑Driven), Power Automate, and DataverseIntegrate Power Platform solutions with SQL Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, and external systemsDevelop and maintain SQL Server databases, including schema design, performance tuning, and optimizationCreate and maintain stored procedures, views, functions, triggers, and ETL processesDesign enterprise‑ready data models and build secure connections between Power Platform solutions and SQL databasesImplement governance, ALM, and environment strategies for Power Platform solutionsEnsure data integrity, security, and compliance across applications and databasesTroubleshoot Power Platform errors, workflow failures, and database performance issuesCollaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutionsMaintain documentation, diagrams, and operational proceduresSupport modernization, automation, and cloud adoption initiativesRequired Skills & ExperienceStrong hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and SQL ServerExpertise in T‑SQL development, performance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimizationExperience managing SQL Server instances (on‑premise and/or Azure SQL)Understanding of data governance, security roles, and DLP policiesExperience integrating databases with APIs, cloud apps, and third‑party systemsAbility to interpret business needs and deliver scalable, maintainable solutionsStrong analytical and troubleshooting capabilityPreferred QualificationsMicrosoft certifications: PL‑400 or higher – PreferredExperience with Power BI, dataflows, and enterprise reportingKnowledge of SSIS, SSRS If you have a passion for innovation and are driven to deliver exceptional results, we would love to hear from you.
