Scaffolding Engineer
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking experienced Scaffolding Engineers and Scaffolding Managers to join our construction and industrial access teams in Malaysia. Candidates will lead scaffolding design, erection, inspection, and safe execution of access solutions for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and planning: Prepare scaffold designs, drawings, and method statements compliant with local regulations and project specifications.
Site supervision: Oversee scaffold erection, modification, and dismantling; ensure work meets safety and quality standards.
Team leadership: Supervise scaffold crews, subcontractors, and coordinate with project managers, HSE, and QA teams.
Risk management: Perform job hazard analyses, implement control measures, and enforce safe work procedures.
Documentation: Maintain records: drawings, permits, inspection logs, toolbox talks, and training records.
Client liaison: Interface with clients and third-party inspectors; support audits and site acceptance.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Scaffolding Engineer: Minimum 5 years of relevant scaffolding/site experience.
Scaffolding Manager: Minimum 8 years of scaffolding experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
Education: Diploma or degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent preferred.
Certifications: Any training certificate will be an added advantage.
Technical skills: Proficient in scaffold design principles, load calculations, and use of design software or drawing interpretation.
Regulatory knowledge: Familiarity with Oil and Gas / TG 20 scaffolding and construction safety regulations is an advantage.
Language: Fluent in English; and other South Indian languages are an advantage.
Other: Valid passport and willingness to relocate to Malaysia.
