Moving Company Driver

Non-CDL Our growing moving company is looking for strong and professional Drivers to join our team. We operate 26' straight trucks. A lot of our crews are 1 driver + 1 mover, so you will be responsible for moving the furniture as well as driving the truck! In addition to driving the truck, you’ll follow the manager's work orders and customer requests to safely load, transport, and unload a variety of items for our residential and commercial clients. Compensation: $20 - $23 hourly Responsibilities: Transport and deliver new products to clients in a safe and timely manner Distribute merchandise to consumers while adhering to prescribed routes and traffic rules in the area Communicate with customers in a polite and professional way to provide a positive customer experience Generate the relevant documentation or reports for delivery or accounting purposes Double-check orders before and after delivery to guarantee correctness and accuracy Ability to follow and obey all traffic laws and signs Responsible for loading the truck (including moving the furniture) Responsible for obtaining customers' signatures on all required paperwork Responsible for pre-post-trip truck inspections Lift and transport heavy items repeatedly without damaging them Ability to pad and wrap furniture Be customer-focused on every job Enjoy being a part of a team Ability to follow company operational and safety procedures Professional attitude and communication with all customers and teammates Ability to lift and carry heavy items repeatedly (100+ lbs) Ability to climb stairs, maintain balance, and walk long distances while carrying items Qualifications: Excellent communication skills and time management skills Delivery driver or related job experience preferred High school diploma or equivalent (GED) Clean driving record (MVR) Ability to lift over 50 lbs. individually and 100+ lbs. with a crew member About Company Move Indy is a family-owned, full-service moving company located in Danville, IN.
