Field Technical Analyst

Position: Field Technical AnalystDuration: 06+ Months Contract (High Possibility of Extension)Location: Remote (Required to travel to NorthStar facilities across Michigan)Role Summary:The Field Technical Analyst provides technical, operational, and field support for renewable energy and power generation facilities across Michigan. The role focuses on equipment monitoring, troubleshooting, field diagnostics, and maintenance support for solar, energy storage, and other distributed energy assets. The position requires both remote monitoring and frequent site visits to ensure asset reliability and performance.Key Responsibilities:Field & Technical SupportProvide on-site technical support across NorthStar facilities in Michigan.Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics for equipment and system issues.Support field operations for renewable energy and power generation assets.Monitoring & AnalysisMonitor equipment performance using SCADA and related systems.Review alarms, alerts, and operational data to identify issues.Provide remote triage support and escalate issues as needed.Maintenance SupportAssist in post-maintenance testing and equipment verification.Support outage activities and field restoration efforts.Coordinate with maintenance teams and contractors during repairs.Risk & Issue ResolutionIdentify equipment, system, and performance-related issues.Support root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.Ensure timely resolution of operational disruptions.Field Coordination & ComplianceTravel to multiple facilities across Michigan as required.Work with O&M contractors and internal teams to ensure safe operations.Follow Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards and procedures.Required Skills & Experience:Experience in field operations, industrial maintenance, or technical analysisFamiliarity with SCADA systems or monitoring platforms (preferred)Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skillsExperience supporting equipment in energy, utilities, or industrial environmentsAbility to work independently in remote and field settingsStrong communication and documentation skillsUnderstanding of safety procedures and compliance standardsProficiency in MS Office toolsPreferred (Nice to have) Experience:Renewable energy (solar, wind, or energy storage) exposureUtility or power generation field experienceExperience working with contractors or multi-site operations
