After School Care SpecialistWoodway Elementary - Fort Worth, TX 76133OverviewSalary Range $14.00 Hourly Level Entry Position Type Part Time Education Level High SchoolDescriptionSUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide a safe and healthy afterschool environment for children in Pre-K-6th gradesResponsible for following all program standards for position to meet agency and regulatory standardsPlan and provide afterschool participants with developmentally appropriate activities and experiences that meet a broad range of skills and interestsComplete and implement lesson plan sheets weeklyEstablish positive interpersonal relationships among all individuals in the programProvide constant supervision of all children at all times.Use approved discipline techniques when dealing with a child's inappropriate behaviorConsider each child in relation to cultural and socioeconomic background, treating each child with dignity and respectAssist with food and meal service distributionDisplay sound judgment in all situations; Exhibit self-controlShare upkeep of facilities used by the agency; Observe scheduled work hours by being punctual and preparedMaintain confidentiality of parent, children and staff informationFunction as a cooperative member of the team; Attend staff meetings and agency training when availableRecognize, document and take appropriate action of suspected child abuse and neglect, illness or accidentSOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES:Self-Awareness: Ability to fully understand the impact emotions have on performance, assessment of strengths and weaknesses, relationships, and others.
