Shop Lead

Description The Shop Lead is responsible for leading the production team assigned to a specific project. This is a hands‑on role focused on custom builds, cabinetry, and exhibit fabrication. The Shop Lead works alongside the team to turn drawings and designs into high-quality, finished pieces while keeping the project on schedule. Requirements RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead the shop team assigned to a specific project. Review project drawings and requirements before work begins. Assign daily tasks and keep the team focused on project priorities. Work alongside the team to fabricate and assemble project components. Monitor quality and ensure work meets project specifications. Communicate project progress, questions, or issues to the Shop Foreman. Help resolve production issues that arise during the project. Maintain a safe and organized work area. Ensure the project is completed on schedule. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: 3+ years of fabrication, exhibit, construction, or manufacturing experience. Previous leadership or lead experience preferred. Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and production documents. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. Commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to safely operate tools and production equipment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
