We are a multifaceted CPA firm with 11 offices across the Pacific Northwest providing financial and tax planning to our business and personal clients by offering payroll, bookkeeping, auditing, and tax services. We have close relationships with financial advisors and family attorneys which enable us to provide a full array of services to our clients under one roof.
The Job
We are looking for a Production Manager to add to our dynamic team of professionals in our Bend, OR office. This position will be responsible for ensuring that the tax department's processes run smoothly and efficiently, with a focus on improving the overall effectiveness of departmental operations. Additionally, we are looking for a self-starter who is a proactive problem solver, able to work independently and knows how to prioritize resources in order to meet deadlines.
Qualifications for this position:
Current CPA License is preferred
Minimum 3-5 years tax experience
Minimum 3-5 years management experience
A highly motivated and dedicated person
Project Management skills
Experience in public accounting and preparing tax returns is necessary
What do we need you to do?
Oversee and streamline the tax preparation workflow to ensure timely and accurate completion of tax returns
Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity
Monitor project timelines, identify potential bottlenecks, and allocate resources effectively to meet deadlines
Facilitate regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and updates
Track and analyze key performance indicators related to staff productivity and realization
Generate reports for the purpose of monitoring individual staff goals
Coach all tax staff towards achieving their production goals
Provide management with regular reports on production metrics, highlighting areas of success and opportunities for improvement
Responsible for setting and tracking project budgets
Identify and monitor the KPIs for monitoring the flow of tax projects through the preparation, review and export processes
Provide training and mentorship to tax staff
Stay current with industry trends, changes in tax regulations, and best practices to continuously improve workflow and departmental efficiency
Foster a culture of innovation and process improvement within the tax department
