Engineering Technician I (Tier 1)Location: Still Waters ResortPosition SummaryThe Engineering Technician I supports the daily maintenance operations of the resort by performing entry-level repairs, preventive maintenance, and guest service tasks. This role is highly guest-facing and requires a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and adherence to safety and quality standards.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesComplete assigned work orders in a timely and professional manner, prioritizing guest-related issuesPerform routine maintenance in guest rooms, including:Replacing light bulbs, batteries, and air filtersFixing minor plumbing issues (clogs, slow drains, leaking faucets)Adjusting doors, locks, hinges, and basic hardwareAssist with preventive maintenance programs for:HVAC units (filter changes, visual inspections)Appliances (microwaves, refrigerators, dishwashers)Support upkeep of resort amenities, including pools, hot tubs, and common areas:Clean surfaces, remove debris, and report irregularitiesMonitor water conditions under supervisionRespond to guest calls (e.g., AC not cooling, TV issues, maintenance concerns) with professionalism and urgencyTransport tools, equipment, and materials safely throughout the propertyMaintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance shop, storage rooms, and work areasFollow all company safety policies, including proper use of PPE and lockout/tagout awareness (as trained)Escalate complex issues to higher-level techniciansQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required0-2 years of general maintenance, construction, or related experience preferredValid driver's license (if required for property vehicles)Basic familiarity with tools, equipment, and safe handling practicesSkills & CompetenciesStrong customer service and communication skillsWillingness to learn multiple trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical)Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a teamBasic troubleshooting and problem-solving abilityDependability and punctualityPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularlyAbility to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditionsComfortable using ladders and basic maintenance equipmentSalary: $16.00 per hourJob Posted by ApplicantPro
