To learn more about out business lines, visit our website: https://www.homebyames.com/en-us/.WHERE YOU WILL WORKAt our ClosetMaid facility in Ocala.WHO YOU AREYou will supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in maintaining and repairing machinery, electrical layout, physical structures of buildings, and maintaining grounds.Hours: 6:00am - 2:30pmRESPONSIBILITIESRequisition tools, equipment and supplies.Inspect completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards.Study production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.Interpret company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.Analyze and resolve work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.Perform activities of workers supervised.Interpret company policies and government regulations and applicable to job.Work closely with the Human Resources Department (includes training and safety) to effectively communicate information.Improve upon safety record in area assigned.Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.Determine work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.Issue written and oral instructions.Coach, reward, and discipline employees when applicable.Assign duties and examines work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures.Conduct pre-employment interviews and departmental orientation.Supervise trainers, documentation, and implementation of OJT Program.Train the trainers and evaluates employees for fully trained status.Directly supervise between 10-20 employees in a department.Know/follow Communicative Safety Guidelines.Play active role in all Housekeeping/Safety activities.REQUIREMENTS2 year degree and 7 to 10 years of experienceForklift Certification preferredExperience with supervising 10-20 plus employeesFamiliarity with manufacturingBe able to work flexible work schedules as required to interface with all shifts.ENVIRONMENTAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSPhysical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
