Job Description Janitor Job SummaryWe are looking for an organized and hardworking janitor to join our company. Youll be responsible for keeping our building clean. In addition to keeping the inside of the building clean, you may be expected to keep the outside orderly, as well. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, so our janitor needs to be hardworking and willing to engage in a number of cleaning activities.Janitor Duties and ResponsibilitiesGather and empty trash and trash binsWash windows, walls, and glassOrder cleaning suppliesChange light bulbsNotify managers when the building needs major repairsKeep buildings secure by locking doorsClean building floors by sweeping, mopping, or vacuumingClean spills and other hazards using squeegees and spongesClean bathrooms and stock them with soap, toilet paper, and other suppliesJanitor Requirements and QualificationsHigh school diplomaHigh school shop courses are beneficialPrevious janitorial experienceBasic arithmetic and writing skills
