We need the foreman who can step in, take ownership, and become the backbone of our field operations.The RoleYou'll receive project information from the office and take it from there — directing your crew, managing the day, maintaining quality, and communicating back. Our management team is available for complex field challenges and technical decisions, but day-to-day project execution is yours to own.We're looking for someone with strong trade knowledge, sharp critical thinking, and solid organizational habits. If you've been ready to fully step into the lead role — this is your opportunity.What You'll DoField Leadership & Crew ManagementLead a crew of 1-3 apprentice and journeyman electricians on active residential job sitesAssign tasks, manage daily workflow, and maintain quality control of all work completedMentor and develop apprentice electricians — a core expectation of this role, not an afterthoughtCoordinate on-site with GC superintendents and homeowner clientsRepresent K&L Energy with professionalism in high-end residential environmentsProject ExecutionApply strong NEC code knowledge and trade technique to solve problems proactivelyTroubleshoot residential electrical systems with confidence and accuracyCompile material lists; assist with change order scope details as neededRead and interpret blueprints, plans, and electrical specificationsReporting & CommunicationSubmit daily project reports, site photos, and job updates via company-issued iPad (Fieldwire)Maintain clear, consistent communication with the office throughout the workdayComplete job closeout documentation and QC checks before leaving any job siteVehicle & Equipment* Maintain your assigned company vehicle* Use your company credit card for fuel, materials, and approved business expensesNote: Scheduling, permitting, material procurement, and invoicing are handled in the office.What We Work OnResidential (Our Core Work)Service upgrades, panel replacements, and service workRenovation and remodel projects — rough wire, service, and final/trimPool installations (electrical systems)Custom home and tract home constructionResidential troubleshooting and diagnosticsLighting controls and smart home systemsAdditional Project TypesCommercial projectsGenerator installations — K&L is a Generac dealer/installer (Generac experience a strong plus)Commercial EV charging station installationsFacility maintenanceLighting retrofits (healthcare, educational, industrial, municipal, retail, office)PV / solar installationsRestoration projectsWhat We're Looking ForRequiredPennsylvania Journeyman Electrician License — certified educational credits and on-the-job hours will be considered5+ years of hands-on residential electrical experienceDemonstrated experience leading a crew on residential projects — non-negotiableValid driver's license with a clean driving record (DMV records check required)Reliable transportation to the shop and job sitesYour own personal set of toolsMust pass a background check and pre-employment drug screeningMust be legally authorized to work in the United StatesStrongly PreferredHands-on experience training and mentoring apprentice electriciansFamiliarity with change orders — scope, documentation, schedule impact estimatingBackground in rough wire, service, and final/trim phasesPool, spa, or generator electrical experience (Generac a significant plus)Comfort with iPad-based field tools (Fieldwire, Procore, or similar)Who You AreYou take ownership — when there's a problem on your job site, you solve itYou lead by example and earn your crew's respect through competenceYou communicate proactively — the office hears from you before they have to askYou hold your crew's work to a high standard, and your own to an even higher oneYou are professional and composed in front of homeowners and GC contactsYou don't need to be managed.
