OverviewThe Site Development & Planning Civil Engineer-in-Training supports the planning, design, and execution of land development projects under the guidance of licensed engineers. This role contributes to the preparation of engineering documents, calculations, and technical analyses for projects such as commercial, municipal, and mixed-use developments. The position focuses on developing foundational technical skills while assisting in delivering high-quality, compliant, and constructible site solutions. Parkhill is one of the largest architectural and engineering firms in the Southwest with 14 offices located throughout Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.ResponsibilitiesContact city staff and agencies for project coordination and data collectionSupport basic design and calculations to support site grading, drainage analysis, water and sanitary sewer utilities and paving improvementsAssist in the development of construction plans, specifications, and Opinions of Probable CostsCollaborate with team members on design specifications and timelinesPerform field observation work when necessary, under minimal supervisionQualificationsBachelor's degree in civil engineeringEIT obtainedAt least 2 years of experience (preferred)Experience with software including AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS is preferredExcellent client and team communicationBenefits And PerksWe offer a comprehensive benefits program that supports the whole person.
