The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad portfolio of services, including dining operations, bookstore and cafe management, spending accounts, vending, property management, and more. This pivotal position requires a hands-on approach, a creative and innovative mindset, and the ability to foster strategic partnerships. The Executive Director will be the primary point of contact for all auxiliary service functions, ensuring financial stability, and compliance with relevant regulations. They will also be tasked with leading a team, overseeing a significant operating budget, and maintaining a close, collaborative relationship with the college's senior leadership. Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field, a minimum of 5 years' experience in auxiliary management or related professions, and a proven track record in financial management, partnership, and contract negotiations. The role demands a leader with excellent communication skills, the ability to make data-driven decisions, and a passion for student and customer service. The ideal candidate will be a creative visionary, with the ability to mentor and develop a diverse professional staff. A strong background in higher education, particularly within the SUNY system, and experience with design and construction management of facilities are preferred.
