Java Full Stack Developer

Job Title: Full Stack DeveloperLocation: Austin, TX – Hybrid 3 days/weekJob Overview: This is a full-stack engineering role where you will Contribute to backend services and APIs, Build user-facing web applications and internal tools, Support development of workflow systems and automation platforms and You’ll work on features that improve agent productivity and customer experience, collaborating closely with senior engineers.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain frontend and backend componentsBuild and enhance web applications and APIsWrite clean, testable, and maintainable codeParticipate in code reviews and Agile ceremoniesTroubleshoot issues in development and production with guidanceCollaborate with engineers, product managers, and designersContribute to improving performance, scalability, and reliabilitySupport development of AI-enabled features or integrations (e.g., automation, assistive workflows)Designs, develops, tests, and evaluates software and systems that enable computers to perform their applications, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.Analyzes software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.Consults with hardware engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software and operational and performance requirements of overall system.Formulates and designs software system, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design. Develops and directs software system testing procedures, programming, and documentation.Consults with customer concerning maintenance of software system. May coordinate installation of software system.reusable tooling.Support release validation, defect prevention, and root-cause analysis for complex quality and production issues.Technical Requirements:BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience2–4 years of full-stack software development experienceProficiency in Java (or similar backend language)Experience building or contributing to REST APIsBasic understanding of databases (SQL; exposure to NoSQL is a plus)Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScriptExperience with React, Angular, or similar frameworksUnderstanding of API integration and responsive UI developmentFamiliarity with: Git and CI/CD pipelinesBasic testing and debugging practicesStrong problem-solving skills and willingness to learnBasic familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT)Awareness of how AI/LLMs are used in applications (APIs, simple workflows, automation)Nice-to-Have:Exposure to Spring Boot or similar frameworksFamiliarity with Docker or cloud environmentsBasic understanding of state management (Redux, etc.)Exposure to monitoring/logging toolsAwareness of workflow or automation systemsExposure to LLM-based features, such as:Chat or summarization use casesPrompt-based workflowsAPI-based AI integrations
