Inside Sales Associate
Job Description
The Inside Sales Representative plays a critical role in supporting sales and customer service operations by preparing accurate and timely customer quotations, providing pricing and lead time information, and coordinating closely with internal teams. This role ensures a seamless customer experience from initial inquiry through order placement and execution, while maintaining a high level of accuracy, responsiveness, and professionalism. Responsibilities not limited to:Prepare accurate and detailed customer quotations for products and services Provide pricing, lead times, and product availability based on production schedules and supplier input Review customer requirements, specifications, and technical documentation to ensure appropriate quoting solutions Collaborate with operations, engineering, and production teams to confirm capabilities, feasibility, and scheduling Follow up on outstanding quotes to drive order conversion and maintain customer engagement Enter and process customer orders accurately in ERP/CRM systems, ensuring alignment with quoted terms and conditions Communicate proactively with customers and internal stakeholders regarding order status, updates, and delivery timelines Maintain organized records of quotations, revisions, approvals, and customer communications Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quoting efficiency, turnaround time, and accuracyRequirements 2+ years of experience in customer service, inside sales, quoting, or order management Experience with technical, engineered, or manufacturing products strongly preferred Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret specifications and technical requirements Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with ERP/CRM (Salesforce) preferred and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, etc.) Competencies:Customer-focused mindset with urgency and responsiveness Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Cross-functional collaboration (sales, operations, engineering, production) Accuracy and accountability in pricing, quoting, and order entry Proactive follow-through and ownership of assigned workCompany DescriptionFor over 10 decades, VMC Group has been recognized as a world leader in the design and manufacture of vibration isolation, seismic control and shock protection products.Our comprehensive product and engineering solutions cover a variety of industries – commercial construction, industrial/vehicular, OEM and military/aerospace.
