We specialize in high-end residential cabinetry and millwork for luxury homes across Cape Cod, Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard, and the greater Boston area. Our work includes custom kitchens, bathrooms, built-ins, bars, libraries, and other architectural millwork designed and fabricated with exceptional craftsmanship. As a small team, we collaborate closely with homeowners, architects, builders, and interior designers to deliver highly customized solutions tailored to each project. Position OverviewHorgan Millwork is seeking a Cabinet & Millwork Designer to join our team in Hyannis. This role focuses on translating architectural plans and design concepts into detailed cabinetry layouts and fabrication-ready drawings for our shop. The designer will work closely with the owner and a small internal team involved in project design, specification, and configuration. This position requires strong CAD skills, the ability to interpret architectural drawings, and the organizational ability to manage multiple custom residential projects simultaneously. Key ResponsibilitiesReview architectural blueprints and construction documents to develop cabinetry and millwork layoutsProduce CAD drawings and shop drawings for kitchens, bathrooms, built-ins, and custom architectural millworkCollaborate with the owner and internal team to refine designs, dimensions, and construction detailsEnsure drawings are accurate and ready for fabrication by the shop teamCoordinate with architects, builders, and interior designers during the design processTrack and manage multiple projects with varying timelines and construction schedulesAssist with material, hardware, and finish specifications as needed QualificationsExperience in cabinet design, millwork design, or architectural draftingStrong proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, Cabinet Vision, 2020 Design, or similar)Ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints and construction documentsKnowledge of cabinet construction methods and millwork detailingStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines Preferred ExperienceBackground in custom cabinetry or architectural millworkExperience working on high-end residential projectsFamiliarity with producing fabrication-ready shop drawingsExperience collaborating with architects, builders, and interior designers Work EnvironmentThis is an in-person position based at our Hyannis millwork shop, working alongside a small team of designers and craftsmen to produce highly customized work for luxury residential projects.
