Internship Opportunity at Kamatics CorporationAre you looking for an opportunity to intern at a great organization this summer? Kamatics Corporation in Bloomfield, CT is seeking several interns in a variety of disciplines to join their team to experience an environment enriched with collaboration and learning. The internship will include a robust onboarding program, provide opportunities for professional growth with challenging assignments, an opportunity to give back to the community with a volunteer day, and will encourage interns to participate in a collaborative project with their intern peers. Individuals that will be an ideal fit for Kamatics are motivated, dependable, and seeking to work in a fast-paced environment. The internship duration is expected to run through the summer months and will last approximately 10 to 12 weeks. Interns will be expected to work approximately 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday; work hours may be flexible. ResponsibilitiesSupport the HR team with administrative responsibilities, including but not limited to: data entry into HR systems, maintaining reports, maintenance of confidential employee files, and project-based assignments as needed. Assist with onboarding and pre-hire activities, including creation and organization of new hire personnel files. Facilitate preparation for new hire orientation sessions, including preparing assembling new hire folders, coordination of training, and new hire orientation presentation. Assist with administration of employee recognition and engagement programs and support company-run engagement events and activities. Provide a high level of service to all employees and external customers. Contribute to positive company culture and teamwork-oriented environment. Make recommendations for improvements to work processes and procedures. Contribute to 5S programs in work area. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Follow safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Report safety incidents to supervisor. EducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Business Management, Human Resources Management, or other related field. ExperienceEntry level position. Related internships or co-ops are a plus. Confident using desktop and laptop computers running Windows 11 OS Proficient in MS Office suite, including desktop versions of Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint 6 months office experience preferred Physical RequirementsOffice environment with occasional exposure to the manufacturing shop floor with aerospace manufacturing machinery and chemicals. The role may require the ability to: Lift up to 20 pounds Use personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection and steel-toed shoes may be required when on the shop floor Walk moderate distances, including the use of stairs BenefitsAt Kamatics, we recognize how important your career and benefits are to you and your family.
