Basic QualificationsThe instructor shall posses at a minimum the equivalent of a USAF skill level of seven (7) with4 years current military experience working in an F-16 structural repair backshop. Must have strong communications and interpersonal skills and be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is mandatory. All instructors shall be U.S. citizens. All personnel must have a secret clearance or the ability to obtain a secret clearance prior to employment. The training will include designs, repairs, modifies and fabricates aircraft, metal, plastic, composite, advanced composite, and bonded structural parts and components. Inspecting structures and components and determining operational status, as well as assessing damage to aircraft structural components according to specifications and technical publications. Interprets inspection findings, and determines corrective action adequacy. Uses metalworking equipment and tools to form, cut, bend, and fasten replacement or repair parts to damaged structures and components. Fabricates, repairs, and assembles structural parts, components, and tubing, checks repairs for serviceability. Identifies, removes, and treats corrosion using mechanical and chemical procedures, applies preservative treatments and corrosion protective coatings to aircraft, missiles, and support equipment (SE). Applies aircraft paint schemes and markings to aircraft, missiles, and support equipment (SE). Posts entries and maintains maintenance and inspection records. Stores, handles, and disposes of hazardous waste and materials according to environmental standards. F-16 Block 40 or higher experience preferred. Candidates with additional experience in any of the following areas are preferred; shop setup, field training detachment (FTD), technical order library maintenance, quality assurance, or modification teams.
