CNC Machine Setup/Operator/Programmer
S & R Tool is a precision manufacturer supplying critical components to customers. Our facility operates to AS9100 standards and is equipped with state-of-the-art multi-axis machining technology. We are seeking a skilled CNC Setup /Operator to join our precision machining team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming CNC machining centers to produce tight-tolerance components for our customers.
Position: Machine Setup-operator- for Lathe and or Mill. Ability to learn all machines.

We do not run production, we make 1 pc to 500, avg is 5-30 pieces typically referred to as short run, with many parts repeatedly ordered. We do not machine cast iron, to dirty. Our CAD-CAM is Mastercam for all Mill, Lathe & Wire & Veri-surf for our CMM programming.
Basic Job description:
Machine parts to print and or model.
Perform in-process inspection using precision measurement equipment (micrometers, CMM, gauges)
Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions to maintain quality and throughput
Maintain strict compliance with AS9100 quality standards, first-article requirements, and internal procedures
Collaborate with quality personnel to support continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work cell in accordance with 5S standards
Skills required:
- Blue print reading skills including GD&T
- Good math skills
- Keeping work area clean and organized
- Must be able to work independently and communicate with co-workers.
- Mechanical Aptitude
Skills preferred:
3+ years of CNC machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment
Demonstrated proficiency in G-code programming (Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, or similar control platforms)
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T, and material specifications
Experience with CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, or equivalent)
Strong understanding of speeds, feeds, tooling selection, and fixturing
Familiarity with AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality management systems
Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance if required
Journeyman machinist certification or equivalent technical degree
