Position OverviewThe Alabama Coalition Against Domestic Violence (ACADV) seeks a mission-driven, experienced, and steady leader to serve as its next Executive Director. Organizational Stabilization & Trust RebuildingRe-establish organizational stability through consistent leadership, clear priorities, and operational disciplineRebuild trust with Board, staff, member organizations, funders, and external stakeholdersFoster a trauma-informed, transparent, and accountable cultureAssess and strengthen internal systems, governance practices, and decision-making processes2. Coalition Leadership & Member EngagementStrengthen relationships with member organizations across the stateEnsure ACADV delivers clear value as a convener, advocate, and resource hubFacilitate alignment across diverse stakeholders with varying needs and perspectivesPromote collaboration and shared accountability across the coalition3. Legislative & Public Policy LeadershipServe as ACADV’s primary liaison to state legislators, policymakers, and government agenciesAdvance a clear, member-informed legislative agendaAdvocate for policies and funding that support survivors and service providersBuild and maintain bipartisan relationships at the state level4. Operational Excellence & SustainabilityEnsure strong financial stewardship, including grant management and funding diversificationStrengthen infrastructure, including staffing, processes, and performance managementEstablish clear metrics to track organizational health and impactPartner closely with the Board to align strategy, governance, and execution5.
