This role plays a critical part in project success by analyzing drawings, performing takeoffs, and developing detailed cost estimates for framing, drywall, and related scopes.Key ResponsibilitiesReview project plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate estimatesPerform detailed material takeoffs for metal stud framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, and related systems [ziprecruiter.com]Prepare comprehensive cost estimates including labor, material, and equipmentSolicit and analyze subcontractor/vendor pricing to ensure competitive bidsCollaborate with project managers, clients, and vendors to clarify scope and requirements [jooble.org]Identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunitiesMaintain organized documentation of bids, revisions, and project dataParticipate in pre-bid meetings and support handoff to project managementQualifications5-10 years of estimating experience in drywall, metal framing, or interior constructionStrong knowledge of commercial construction drawings and specificationsProven experience with material takeoffs and bid preparationProficiency in estimating software (EDGE, On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar)Solid understanding of construction materials, methods, and building codes [mwdw.com]Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsInterested in hearing more?
