Data Program Manager
Overview
As a Data Program Manager at K&L Gates, you will own the roadmap and delivery of enterprise data initiatives, aligning with business strategy and governance. You will work with engineering, analytics, AI, and business partners to drive on-time, within-scope value and manage dependencies. You’ll oversee budgets, track KPIs, and report progress to leadership, supporting greenfield data and AI efforts. This role emphasizes cross-team collaboration, governance, and responsible AI practices in a large professional services environment. You will play a pivotal role in shaping data programs that enable strategic outcomes for the firm.

ResponsibilitiesOwn and maintain the roadmap for enterprise data programs aligned with data strategy and portfolio modelLead end-to-end delivery of data initiatives, define scope, manage timelines, mitigate risks, coordinate dependenciesPlan, manage, and track program budgets and forecasts with transparent leadership reportingEstablish and monitor KPIs and translate outcomes into executive-level business impactManage visibility in Azure DevOps with portfolio dashboards and sprint oversightIdentify and resolve delivery blockers and cross-team dependenciesTranslate business needs into actionable program plans and milestones for governance and status updatesPromote enterprise standards, security, and knowledge-centered practices within the teamDefine and oversee program testing strategies, including UAT and quality standardsLeverage AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Claude) to enhance quality and efficiency in workflowsContribute to AI-driven solutions on the Microsoft platform stack within governed portfolio guidelinesAdhere to AI governance standards and responsible use policies
Key requirementsPMP (Project Management Professional) required4+ years managing complex, cross-functional programs with roadmaps, budgets, and delivery timelinesExperience collaborating with data, analytics, AI, or enterprise technology teamsAbility to translate business needs into functional program requirements and executive updatesProven stakeholder engagement and communication across technical and non-technical audiencesExperience with Agile, hybrid, or waterfall methodologies and Azure DevOps or similar toolsExperience with AI-assisted tools in an enterprise settingAbility to travel up to 10% and handle confidential information responsiblyexceptional communicationstakeholder managementproblem-solvingAzure DevOpsAI tools like Microsoft Copilot and ClaudeAI-assisted development environments
