Senior Systems Engineer

The Senior Systems Engineer will play a vital role in managing and optimizing Linux-centered systems for Oracle Health CWx US Public Client Ops. This role involves overseeing cloud and on-premise infrastructure, implementing security measures, and ensuring smooth operations for our healthcare-hosted environments. The engineer will work closely with the CAM and CAREWare Multimedia teams, providing expert guidance and support to maintain the highest standards of performance and security. Lead and manage a team of systems administrators, providing guidance and expertise in Linux-based systems administration. Design, implement, and maintain cloud and on-premise infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and scalability. Implement and enforce security best practices, including hardening measures, to protect sensitive healthcare data. Resolve complex incidents and provide timely support to ensure minimal disruption to operations. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and procedures. Collaborate with the CAM and CAREWare Multimedia product teams to understand their specific requirements and provide tailored solutions. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, and propose innovative solutions to enhance system performance. Conduct regular system backups and implement robust disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity. Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement, implementing necessary optimizations. Provide mentorship and knowledge transfer to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
