Commissary Bakery Assistant Manager
DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY:Reporting to the Commissary Operations Manager this position is primarily responsible for managing daily production including quality, sanitation and safety standards, production planning (including holiday, special occasions and new items), employee training and support of the management team to achieve corporate goals.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Manage product quality, investigate and solve quality issues, make recommendations for improvement. Track changes in consistency and quality for continuous improvement.Supervise and train employees on SOP, GMP, HACCP, FDA and Nevada State Department of Health standards for proper food handling and sanitation.Develop and create new products, taking into consideration market trends and corporate strategies. Directs Work - Providing direction, delegating, and removing obstacles to get work done.RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS:Scheduling:* Flexible, available any shift, any dayPhysical Ability:Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, push up to 350 poundsStanding/walking up to 6 to 8 hours a dayReaching/bending frequentlyMental Ability:Good decision-making skills (uses independent judgment)Planning/organizational skillsAble to calculate baking formulas using bakers percentage; strong math skillsReading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language requiredAbility to understand financial data and make appropriate decisions for improvementPre-Employment Requirements:* Current and Valid Nevada Food Handler's Card* Servsafe Manager CertificationEnvironmental Conditions:Able to work in a hot/cold environmentAble to work with flour in the environmentThere are both ambient temperatures and A/C rooms.
