Unarmed Security Officer

Responsibilities: - Conduct regular surveillance of premises to ensure the safety and security of all individuals and property - Monitor CCTV cameras and alarm systems to detect any suspicious activity or potential threats - Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, taking appropriate action as necessary - Maintain accurate records of all security-related activities, including incident reports and daily logs - Enforce access control procedures, verifying the identity of individuals and ensuring only authorized personnel are granted entry - Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors, answering inquiries, and providing directions as needed - Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and emergency services when required - Implement loss prevention measures to minimize theft, vandalism, and other criminal activities - Handle conflicts or disturbances in a professional manner, using effective communication and conflict management techniques Experience: - Previous experience in security or law enforcement is preferred but not required - Knowledge of CCTV systems and other security equipment is a plus - First aid and CPR certification is beneficial Skills: - Strong surveillance skills with the ability to identify potential security risks or threats - Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and procedures related to security operations - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations - Strong attention to detail and observation skills - Proficient in conflict management techniques This position offers competitive pay rates and may include benefits such as health insurance, and paid time off.
