Sound like you?If you are ready to make a difference and be part of one of the world's most admired and sustainability-focused companies, CBRE is the right place for you.ABOUT THE ROLEAs a CBRE Mobile Building Engineer, this job will support several facilities in the Cleveland, OH area that requires expertise to perform repairs and maintain several buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and ground requests.This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function and is responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.Must be comfortable with extensive everyday travel in the Cleveland, OH area.Must live within designated radius of the job site to reliably work schedule/shift.Willing to work on-call (before/after hours) and respond to incidents and emergencies as needed.WHAT YOU'LL DOOversee maintenance and repairs to the mechanical, industrial, plumbing, structural, life safety, and control systems for the facility to keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards as assigned.Review assigned work orders, estimate time and materials needed to complete the repair and maintain inventory of adequate supplies and tools.Implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life; oversee repairs and emergency maintenance as needed.Review inspections of building and industrial systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure the operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by the client.Oversee compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agencies, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.Operate company-issued vehicles in the execution of daily work responsibilities.Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.Impact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams.Work within broad guidelines and policies.Explain difficult or sensitive information.WHAT YOU'LL NEEDApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.To perform this job effectively, an individual should be able to perform each duty satisfactorily.Commercial HVACMechanical, Electrical, and PlumbingProficient computer skills (Microsoft Office & CMMS)Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED).Proven experience as a building engineer; minimum of four (4) years.Universal EPA license preferred (within 1 year).Mobile maintenance experience highly preferred.Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record with periodic checks.CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSESCertification in two or more of the following: Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC and Refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair as well as CFC Certification.OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIESMeet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)Why CBRE?When you join CBRE, you become part of the global leader in commercial real estate services and investment that helps businesses and people thrive.
