With a strong infrastructure and multi-generational governance model, they emphasize long-term client relationships, operational excellence, and continuity of service.As a dynamic, experienced, and well-connected Director of Business Development in the Midwest this hire will focus on expanding their Private Placement Life Insurance (PPLI) business. The ideal candidate will have an established network of Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), family offices, estate planning professionals, and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients. This role centers on building trusted relationships and driving new opportunities by educating strategic partners and clients on the benefits of PPLI within sophisticated wealth management and estate planning strategies.Responsibilities:Build, strengthen, and maintain relationships with RIAs, family offices, estate planning attorneys, tax advisors, and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients across the MidwestIdentify, qualify, and facilitate introductions to prospective clients and strategic partners for Private Placement Life Insurance (PPLI) opportunitiesEducate advisors, partners, and clients on the benefits of PPLI as part of advanced wealth management and estate planning strategiesDevelop and execute a comprehensive business development and marketing strategy to expand the firm's presence in the PPLI marketplaceRepresent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to increase visibility and cultivate new relationshipsCollaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and client experience throughout the sales and implementation processMaintain strict adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements in all communications and business development activitiesRequirements:5+ years of experience in wealth management, investment fund management, advanced insurance solutions, or alternative investment salesProven track record of success in business development within the UHNW spaceEstablished network of relationships with RIAs, family offices, and UHNW clientsStrong knowledge of Private Placement Life Insurance (PPLI), complex life insurance products, estate planning strategies, and the unique needs of UHNW clientsExceptional interpersonal, presentation, and sales skills with the ability to build trust and influence key decision-makersWillingness to travel extensively throughout the Midwest regionThis role offers a competitive compensation package with a base salary of $150,000-$250,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. In addition, the role is eligible for a commission plan and performance-based bonuses, bringing total annual compensation into the $300,000-$500,000+ range.
