OverviewElectric Boat is the premier designer and builder of nuclear powered submarines for the US Navy and we are experiencing a period of unprecedented growth! We are looking for people who want to learn and grow within our Sheetmetal Department as we continue to build the most advanced submarines.With more than a century of experience, Electric Boat has established standards of excellence in the design, construction and lifecycle support of submarines for the U.S. Navy while maintaining a safe and healthy workplace. A Sheetmetal Worker is required to interpret construction drawings with basic mathematic ability. Job tasks include layout, fabrication, assembly, and installation of all light gage metalwork which includes air-conditioned ductwork, lockers, cabinets, prefabricated bulkheads, doors, furniture and Formica. Work assignments will be accomplished using company drawings, test documents, technical manuals, shipyard procedures and shop machinery.
